The Conference

The International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) is where global mining leaders collaborate on trends in mining, investment and innovation towards a sustainable future.

As Australia’s largest and most influential mining event, IMARC creates a global conversation, mobilises the industry for collaboration and attracts some of the greatest leaders in the mining, investment, and technology industries for three days of learning, deal-making and unparalleled networking.

As industries across the world strive to achieve Net Zero targets, IMARC returns to the ICC Sydney from 31 October – 2 November 2023, examining the impact of the increasing demand for critical minerals on the mining value chain, as well as how organisations are operationalising their climate change commitments. The Energy Transition Stream will specifically address various aspects of the industry’s role in the global energy transition including powering mines with renewable energy sources, decarbonisation strategies, mine electrification and how to develop a critical minerals supply chain.

The ESG Collaboration Stream returns once again in 2023, providing a forum to address the key challenges in ensuring sustainable mining practices. As investors emphasise value, beyond the financials, and focus more on ESG compliance, this stream will feature in-depth case studies and discussions on topics including supply chain sustainability, energy, waste and water supply, community engagement, human rights, and more.

The ever-popular Digital Transformation and Mining Innovation streams will showcase some of the best applications of technology, innovation and modernisation across the business, including at a mine site and processing plant level. View the conference program.
