The International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) is back for another year of engaging talks and expos, all exploring the future of mining in Australia.
The event brings together global mining leaders to discuss everything from trends in mining, to investment, and even the future of sustainable practices.
About the event
IMARC is Australia’s largest and most anticipated mining event. It will be held at ICC Sydney from 31 October – 2 November 2023, and features an amazing three-day lineup of learning, deal-making, and networking opportunities.
The event brings together more than 500 mining and resource industry leaders, who share their expert knowledge across seven concurrent conferences. Businesses from around the world will be in attendance, making it a great way for individuals to expand their circles and uncover a wide range of knowledge.
Engaging with the environment
The focus of this year’s event is understanding the impact of increased demand for critical minerals, as well as how organisations can help reduce the impact of climate change. Global industries are striving to achieve net zero target emissions, and IMARC wants to acknowledge this through a slate of climate-conscious talks throughout the event.
This will be achieved through the Energy Transition Stream, returning once again to specifically address the mining industry’s role in the global move towards renewable energy. This stream will focus on powering mines with renewable energy sources, decarbonization strategies, mine electrification and how to develop a critical minerals supply chain.
Primarily, the Energy Transition stream will offer a forum to discuss all environmental issues in mining, and feature talks on topics including supply chain sustainability, energy, waste and water supply, community engagement, human rights, and more.
Innovation and ingenuity
As well as a strong environmental focus, this year will also prioritise innovation and creativity. As such, the widely popular Digital Transformation and Mining Innovation streams will be returning. They will showcase how technology, innovation and modernisation are redefining the industry, allowing participants a close-up look at the tools streamlining their day-to-day experiences.
IMARC 2023 will also celebrate 10 years of IMARC and industry, providing the perfect opportunity to reflect on the progress the industry has made, and the new directions that miners, METS, Governments, and its value chain partners are embracing. Highlighted through a series of keynote interviews, these changes will reveal how Aussies are resourcing for tomorrow.
More to explore
Participants will be blown away by the line up of events and speakers at IMARC 2023. They will have unparalleled opportunities to discover new ideas, find practical solutions, and see demonstrations of the latest products from start-ups to some of the biggest names in the mining industry.
With more than 470 exhibitors across the expo floor, this is one event you won’t want to miss.
Across three days, there are thousands of opportunities to network, brainstorm, and share knowledge. Whether you’re looking to gain new business contacts, connect with the industry’s leading figureheads, or just learn something new, IMARC is the perfect place to be.
